Carmine's opened as a meat market in 1972. A few years later, we realized that customers wanted more than a one-stop shop for meats - they craved a full scale specialty market with quality offerings of bakery goods, fresh seafood, deli items and authentic pizza. The Palm Beach Gardens location was opened in 1988 to offer all this and more to the neighborhood. An upscale white tablecloth restaurant, La Trattoria, was added a few years later.

The market layout also accommodates our own signature food items, as well as a mind-boggling asso rtment of freshly prepared foods of all variety by Carmine's award-winning chefs and a comprehensive fresh produce department with a focus on organic and natural foods and freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, even a floral shop offering traditional as well as exotic plants.

Carmine's continues to address the changing needs of our established customer base with an increasing array of prepared gourmet foods for people who do not have the time and luxury to cook from scratch the healthy and creative meals they desire. We are always searching out and implementing new ways to help today's rushed, yet health-conscious, customers satisfy their cravings for fast, fresh and flavorful foods.

A Cornucopia for the Tastebuds
Carmine's Gourmet Market is a 16,000 square foot store specializing in two things: QUALITY and SERVICE. Carmine's started in 1972 as a prime meat market featuring the finest quality beef and meats. Over the years, the quantity and variety of products offered has expanded considerably. The market now features full service meat, seafood, produce, deli, bakery, wine and cheese departments; as well as custom gift baskets, a vast selection of imported specialty items, a full service floral department, a coffee bean selection of over 75 flavors and varieties, a complete catering service including yacht provisioning, and a spectacular assortment of exotic and traditional prepared foods.

Each department has a manager and staff on hand to help customers with their needs. The prepared foods department has over one hundred different ready-to-eat items including a complete range of meat and seafood entrees, fully-cooked pasta dinners, vegetables, sandwiches and salads. This has been the most rapidly expanding segment of our market, as shoppers continue to have less and less time, but still desire the quality healthfulness and variety of a home cooked meal.

Everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal is available at Carmine's; from Cookbooks to appetizers; salads to entrees; wine to coffee; right on through to dessert. Customers can purchase items fully cooked and ready-to-serve or they can procure the ingredients required to prepare even the most exotic meals from scratch. If a customer asks for something that is not in the store, the department manager will gladly order the product for them. Most items can be acquired within a week, regardless of which corner of the globe they come from.

While Carmine's Gourmet Market is designed to be a one-stop shop for all of the upscale products our customers require, we also stock a generous complement of basic grocery and kitchen items. Our product mix is determined by our customers' desires. When a customer requests a product, the department manager orders it. If it sells well, it becomes a regularly stocked item.

The selection of quality products available in the market is staggering; from over 40 types of olive oils to hard-to-find exotic items like kiwi vinegar; from lamb shanks (raw or fully prepared) to an assortment of homemade Italian sausages to Halibut cheeks. The needs of the customer, whether a gourmet cook or a homemaker on the run, are always easily met.

And did we mention the bakery? Four dozen different types of freshly baked breads and rolls, plus a complete selection of traditional Italian, American and International cakes and pastries are available at Carmine's. Hungry for a quick bite? Our in-store pizzeria features hand-tossed pizzas for dining in or take out. Over 14 different specialty pizzas, as well as calzones, focaccia and stromboli are always available.

The Market also features four-star Italian dining at La Trattoria Ristorante. La Trattoria features regional Italian favorites, as well as innovative and creative dishes on the cutting edge of today's culinary frontier and a full service bar & lounge with live entertainment on the weekends.

Sit Down and Eat!
Within the market, Carmine's has two unique restaurants: The four star, white tablecloth La Trattoria and the casual Pizzeria. The restaurants attract additional customers to the retail market via cross merchandising through operations. The uniqueness of these restaurants, with show kitchens and front-end pizzeria ovens and preparation areas, encourages customers to pass through the market on their way in and out, making purchases in the market an integral part of their dining experience (and vice versa!).

Peaceful outdoor waterside dining area, a full liquor and wine bar, facilities for parties, Italian flair and music all contribute to making our customers return again and again. To present the ultimate in Italian inspired atmosphere, waiters and chefs are periodically sent to Italy to savor first hand the experience of Italian food , drink and hospitality.

The same high-quality fare served up in our restaurants can also be special ordered for private and public events and occasions at the customer's location of choice. Due to our reputation for world-class cuisine, Carmine's Catering Service is continuously attracting new customers in search of yacht, home and party catering.
